As this peel involves deeper injury, risk of having complications is more. Complications with deep peels include scarring, darkening, permanent changes in the texture and redness of the skin. Deep peel procedure is done under anesthesia while monitoring the vital signs throughout the procedure. Occlusive bandages are required for the recovery and the recovery time is more and may take up to a month under normal conditions.
